SAP FICO Consultant

3–6 Month Contract | Melbourne | Finance Projects, Enhancements & Support

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant for an initial 3–6 month contract based in Melbourne. This is a hands-on role working across Finance projects, system enhancements and ongoing support within a complex SAP environment.

You will be responsible for delivering SAP Finance solutions that align with the organisation’s broader IT strategy and standards, while ensuring solutions meet business requirements and integrate effectively across the wider SAP and technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver SAP FICO solutions across projects, enhancements and BAU/support activities
• Lead functional solutioning and design across Finance requirements
• Ensure solutions align with IT architecture, strategy and standards
• Work closely with Finance stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical SAP solutions
• Take a strong end-to-end and integration-focused approach, considering impacts across other SAP modules and connected systems
• Support configuration, testing, implementation and post-go-live activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP Finance issues
• Work with technical, functional and integration teams across the broader SAP landscape

Skills & Experience

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an SAP FICO Consultant
• At least one full end-to-end SAP implementation
• Strong hands-on SAP Finance experience across FI and CO
• Solid understanding of integration between FICO and other SAP modules
• Experience working within a complex, integrated SAP environment
• Exposure to OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) and its integration with SAP Finance and other systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to work across both project delivery and support environments
