SAP FICO Consultant with IS-Retail experience
We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with 10–12+ years of SAP experience, including strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA and SAP IS-Retail implementation environments.
The ideal candidate should have participated in at least 1–2 end-to-end SAP IS-Retail implementation projects, with a strong understanding of the integration between Finance, Controlling, Retail business processes, Materials Management, Sales & Distribution, and Retail-specific processes.
The consultant will be responsible for business process analysis, SAP FICO configuration, integration, testing, data migration support, cutover and post-go-live support across SAP S/4HANA and IS-Retail landscapes.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. SAP FICO Functional Responsibilities
- Lead or independently handle SAP FI/CO functional activities across implementation and support projects.
- Configure and support:General Ledger (GL)Accounts Payable (AP)Accounts Receivable (AR)Asset Accounting (AA)Bank AccountingTax configurationFinancial ClosingControlling (CO)Cost Center AccountingProfit Center AccountingInternal OrdersProduct Costing / Margin Analysis as applicable
- Work extensively with SAP S/4HANA Finance and the Universal Journal / ACDOCA.
- Support financial reporting, month-end/year-end closing and reconciliation processes.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Prepare functional specifications for required developments and integrations.
B. IS-Retail Experience
The candidate should have practical experience in SAP IS-Retail, preferably from at least 1–2 implementation projects.
Experience should include understanding of:
- Retail master data and organizational structures.
- Retail purchasing and sales processes.
- Integration between IS-Retail, MM, SD and FI/CO.
- Merchandise management processes.
- Store and distribution center processes.
- Retail pricing and inventory-related accounting.
- Stock movements and their financial impact.
- Goods receipts, goods issues and inventory valuation.
- Vendor and customer accounting integration.
- Sales and settlement processes.
- Revenue and cost postings generated from retail transactions.
- Retail-specific interfaces and third-party integrations.
- Understanding of the financial impact of retail business transactions.
3. Integration Responsibilities
The consultant will work closely with other functional and technical teams to ensure seamless integration between FICO and:
- SAP IS-Retail
- SAP MM
- SAP SD
- SAP EWM / WM, where applicable
- SAP PP, where applicable
- SAP PS, where applicable
- SAP Treasury / Banking, where applicable
- SAP SuccessFactors or other peripheral systems, where applicable
- Third-party retail, POS, payment and banking systems.
