Satcom Software Engineer – Space Systems (Full-Stack)

Leonardo S.p.A. through its space division Telespazio is seeking a Satcom Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications for satellite communication systems.

The role requires 2–3 years of experience and strong skills in React.js, Vue.js, FastAPI, InfluxDB, and PostgreSQL. The position supports a multidisciplinary, international team and involves containerization with Docker and orchestration via Kubernetes, GitLab for CI/CD, and ECSS-aligned documentation.

Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack software applications for SATCOM systems. Develop modern front-end applications. Implement scalable and high-performance back-end services. Design and manage databases. Collaborate with system engineers to integrate software with networking and communications infrastructures. Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Manage source code, CI/CD pipelines, and version control using GitLab. Produce and maintain software documentation per ECSS standards. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 2–3 years of experience in full-stack software development. Strong knowledge of React.js, Vue.js, FastAPI, InfluxDB, PostgreSQL. Familiar with Linux-based development environments and networking principles. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD workflows. Experience in preparing and maintaining software documentation per ECSS is desirable. Able to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.
