ESSENTIAL TASKS:

• Follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Schedule the flow of material through Remelt to optimize ESR & VAR production.
• Work with VIM team and planning to ensure VIM schedule is optimized to produce target pours and optimal flow into Remelt department.
• Train on VIM process and gain capability to WIP complete VIM batches in Oracle per requirements.
• Work with other departmental schedulers and production control, to control product flow to optimize total company production and achieve on-time performance.
• Communicate as necessary with Lockport and planning to optimize utilization of remelt equipment.
• Work with Operations, Technical, Quality, and various other departments on cost and quality issues.
• Efficiently navigate through Oracle system and make changes as necessary.
• Required to work with various departments (Engineering, R&D, Technical, etc) to initiate, track, and complete Continuos Improvement projects.
• Gather, track, and maintain required production data.
• Assist Technical personnel as needed to identify and implement corrective actions to melt related issues.
• Responsible for procurement, inspection and tracking of all ESR/VAR crucibles, baseplates, stinger material and any other supplies needed for melting process.
