Shultz Transportation Co. - School Van Driver (part-time)

Job Overview
This position is a part-time position with option for a healthcare program. The Van Driver is required to safely transport school-age students to and from school.

Duties and responsibilities

• professionalism and courteousness with students, parents, and school officials are imperative for this position
• regular attendance is essential – 180 school days minimum
• required to keep your assigned van fueled, as well as clean and presentable
• ability to safely operate a 9-passenger van
• communication skills a must
• flexibility as schedule(s) can and do change

Healthcare program (optional participation)

• $35 per month

Qualifications

• must be 21 years of age or older
• must have a valid PA Driver’s License
• must have an acceptable driving record

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, approximately 6:30-9:15a & 2:00p-4:15p -- hours may vary due to early dismissals, school breaks, etc
• summer work is available if desired by the Route Driver and will be scheduled based on the needs of the Company
• beginning of school year through October, as well as April through end of school year tends to be busy and unnecessary time off is discouraged
• unemployment may be filed for as long as the Van Driver is in good standing with the Company -- ie. Thanksgiving break, Christmas break, Summer break

Compensation

• Daily Rate: based on a 4-hour day, $74 per day; anything over 4 hours will be paid at $18.50 per hour
