Seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) - PICU

Job Shift: Days

Job Type: Per Diem

The Registered Nurse, using critical thinking skills, coordinates and provides safe, quality care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. On call shifts required up to FTE.

• Assesses physical, psychosocial, educational and growth and development needs of the patient.
• Develops a written plan of care using assessment data.
• Implements nursing care plan.
• Evaluates patient's response to interventions.
• Demonstrates leadership skills
• Assists in organizing Patient Care Activities

Education:

• Required: Graduate of Registered Nurse Program

Experience:

• Preferred 1 year experience as RN in this Specialty.
  

License:

• REGISTERED NURSE

Certifications:

• BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
• PALS and ACLS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN), at hire for experienced PICU RNs, or within 180 days of hire/transfer effective date new grad or no PICU experience.
• TNCC INEXPERIENCED: WITHIN 2 YEARS OF HIRE OR TRANSFER. EXPERIENCED WITHIN 1 YEAR OF HIRE OR TRANSFER
