MSS Security is looking for casual customer-focused security officers to join our team at the National Gallery of Victoria.
About the role: As a customer-focused Security Officer, you will provide a welcoming and approachable presence, ensuring every visitor feels valued and safe. This role combines visible security oversight with exceptional customer service—assisting guests, sharing information, and helping create a positive and memorable experience.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Greet and welcome all visitors to the gallery in a professional and friendly manner
Patrol areas to maintain a safe, welcoming, and customer-focused environment
Guide and assist visitors during busy periods while ensuring smooth and safe crowd control
Oversee visitor adherence to rules for photography, refreshments, and exhibits
Assist visitors needing additional help, including first-time guests, families, or those traveling, in navigating exhibitions and gallery spaces
Skills & Experience:
Full Australian Working Rights
Certificate II in security operations (Or higher)
A valid Victorian Security License (Control Room License preferred but not essential)
Drivers License
Valid First Aid and CPR
Employee Working with Children's Check
Customer service experience
24*7 Availability Required - Including weekends
Master Licence Number: 409-987-30S
