Security Operations DevOps Engineer

In this role you design, build and automate security infrastructure across multi-cloud platforms, focusing on monitoring, detection and rapid response. You work with AWS, Azure and Microsoft Sentinel to deliver secure, scalable security tooling and CI/CD pipelines. You take ownership of security engineering initiatives, driving automation and reliability to empower the Security Operations team. This is a modern, engineering-led security function within a collaborative public service environment.

• Design, build and maintain security infrastructure across AWS and Azure
• Develop and manage Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code
• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Engineer and support Microsoft Sentinel including data connectors and automation
• Develop integrations and data pipelines for security telemetry
• Create automated solutions to improve monitoring, investigation and response
• Monitor and enhance reliability, resilience and security of security platforms
• Collaborate with Security Operations analysts and engineering teams to scale detection and monitoring
• Take technical ownership of security engineering initiatives and drive continuous improvement

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS environments including security services, logging and integrations
• Hands-on Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience
• GitHub experience for source control, versioning and workflows
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Concourse or similar
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Sentinel
• Experience integrating cloud platforms with security technologies via scripting and APIs
• Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure, deployment, integration and data pipelines
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to translate security requirements into reliable solutions
