Security Presales Engineer (SOC & Network Security)

Location: Singapore, East Side

The Role

This role is ideal for a cybersecurity professional looking to take the next step from SOC operations into a presales and consulting position.

You will work closely with the sales team to help customers understand and evaluate cybersecurity solutions. Leveraging your SOC and network security experience, you will participate in customer discussions, support solution design, assist with demonstrations and proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and help customers improve their security posture.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong SOC background who enjoys customer interaction and is keen to develop their presales and solution consulting skills.

Job Scope:

• Support account managers in engaging commercial and SME customers on cybersecurity solutions.
• Participate in customer meetings to understand security challenges and operational requirements.
• Recommend suitable security solutions based on customer needs and environments.
• Assist in preparing solution proposals, technical presentations, and basic bill of materials (BOMs).
• Support product demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concepts (PoCs).
• Work with implementation teams to ensure smooth transition from solution design to deployment.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity trends and technologies, particularly in network security and cloud-delivered security.

Job Requirement:

• Degree from a recognoised institution in Singapore.
• 3-6 years of cybersecurity experience
• Prior experience in a SOC environment, ideally at L2 level or above.
• Experience investigating security incidents, handling escalations, and working with security monitoring tools.
• Good understanding of network security technologies such as: Firewalls VPNs/IPS/IDS Web proxies Network segmentation
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Comfortable interacting with customers and participating in technical discussions.
• Good communication and presentation skills.

Preferred

• Exposure to presales activities such as product presentation and sizing up customers requirement and discussing its feasibility with cross functional team.
• Understanding of SASE, SSE, ZTNA, CASB, SD-WAN, or cloud security concepts.
• Experience working for a system integrator (SI), MSSP, VAR, or technology reseller.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications are a plus.

Key Hiring Criteria

SOC L2 experience and hands-on incident investigation

Good network security knowledge (firewall, VPN, IPS/IDS)

Comfortable speaking with customers

Interest in moving into presales

SASE knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory
