Job Description
As a Security Specialist – Digital Fraud at Ubisoft Montreal, you will help protect our players and platforms by detecting, understanding, and mitigating digital fraud at scale. In collaboration with the Data, Engineering, Product, and Production teams, you will strengthen fraud prevention capabilities and help respond to emerging threats to ensure a secure and reliable gaming experience.
What you will do
- Explore and interpret transactional and behavioral data to identify fraud patterns and anomalies
- Design and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Splunk, Azure Data Explorer, and Databricks to track trends and key indicators
- Investigate digital fraud threats, including credential stuffing, account takeovers, fake account creation, and marketplace abuse
- Design and deploy detection rules, alerts, and use cases within monitoring platforms
- Collaborate with Data, Engineering, and Product teams to improve detection systems, risk engines, and operational processes
- Conduct root cause analyses following fraud incidents and contribute to long-term prevention strategies
- Identify gaps in detection capabilities and support the continuous improvement of prevention frameworks
- Support fraud-related incident management and post-incident analysis
- Provide clear recommendations and analyses to stakeholders as a subject matter expert
Qualifications
What you bring to the team
- Experience in digital fraud, threat hunting, or fraud risk management
- Hands-on experience with fraud detection systems, risk engines, or Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and automation
- Experience with large-scale datasets and translating analyses into concrete actions
- Experience in creating detection logic, scoring mechanisms, or model-based rules
- Understanding of common fraud vectors, such as account takeovers and automated attacks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
