Senior 2D Animator

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a talented Senior 2D Animator to create dynamic, visually engaging animations that bring characters, environments, and visual effects to life. This role requires a strong foundation in animation principles, excellent artistic skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

A keen eye for detail, creativity, and the ability to translate concepts into compelling visuals are essential for success in this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create top tier 2D character, environment, and VFX animations that meet the highest artistic and technical standards.

• Handle complex rigs, deformation setups, and nuanced animation cycles in Spine.

• Produce polished storyboards, animatics, and motion concepts when needed.

• Ensure personal animations follow established guidelines, naming conventions, and optimization rules (created by the Lead).

• Provide supportive feedback to junior/mid animators when requested.

• Help maintain consistency in animation quality by assisting in internal reviews.

• Support the Lead Animator in upholding quality standards.

• Troubleshoot basic-to-intermediate animation issues and report complex ones to the Lead Animator.

• Prepare Spine files following the pipeline rules (compression, mesh complexity, export settings).

• Suggest creative improvements and motion ideas during brainstorming sessions, contributing innovative concepts that elevate character performance and enhance overall motion language.

• Contribute ideas to elevate character performance and motion language.

• Manage personal deadlines effectively.

• Communicate proactively regarding blockers or risks.

• Collaborate with designers and developers on a task-level basis

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 5–6+ years of animation experience, preferable in gaming or related field.

• Advanced Spine proficiency (rigging, timelines, mesh animations).

• Strong understanding of motion principles and complex character behavior.

• A comprehensive portfolio highlighting strong visual storytelling, technical proficiency, and polished production-level work.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities paired with clear, collaborative communication across technical and creative teams.

• Demonstrated expertise in mobile game optimization, including performance constraints.

• Experience with slot games and understanding of gambling aesthetics (premium, readable, satisfying, non-intrusive) is a strong advantage.

• Experience with After Effects or Rive is considered a strong advantage.

• Professional working proficiency in English.

• Basic understanding of front-end development or animation-implementation principles is a plus.
