Senior 3GPP Backend Engineer (Hybrid)

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is looking for a 3GPP developer to join our team in Italy. The role is designed as Hybrid, requiring an average of 2 days per week from an HPE office.

You will design, develop, and troubleshoot backend software systems for 4G/5G related platforms, collaborating with internal and external partners. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's or master's in CS/IS with 6–10 years of backend experience.

Leads multiple project teams of software engineers and partners through design, coding, testing and integration. Manages relationships with internal and outsourced development partners. Reviews designs for compliance with guidelines and improves product quality. Provides domain-specific expertise and software systems leadership across projects. Drives adoption of new technologies and mentors junior staff. Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. 6–10 years experience in backend or distributed software systems. Fluent in English and Italian.
