Senior Account Executive, Planned Giving
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Account Executive, Planned Giving is responsible for the senior-level strategic management of direct marketing fundraising programs for a portfolio of nonprofit organization clients. The Senior Account Executive will act as the primary point-of-contact for client accounts and guides day-to-day program and team management to deliver direct marketing fundraising programs. They are a subject matter expert in legacy giving and legacy marketing and serve as a trusted resource for clients, client teams and the agency.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analytics:
- Develop client annual plans in coordination with the Senior Account Director or Vice President
- Prepare and interpret reports/analysis that evaluate client’s planned giving marketing programs with recommendations for improvements in alignment with client goals
- Design, implement, and evaluate segmentation strategies, to develop effective segmentation for Planned Giving direct response marketing campaigns.
- Ensure agency reporting is in alignment with client campaign strategy
- Understand internal and industry benchmarking and trends
Client Service:
- Develop year-long and multi-year planned giving marketing strategies aligned with client goals
- Prepare and present annual plan to clients
- Provide strategic leadership of client programs
- Oversee implementation of client’s annual plan
- Prepare, finalize and present strategy decks
- Manage a cross-channel team
- Develop concepts and messaging for integrated direct response projects
- Work with copywriters and designers to develop program content in alignment with project and program strategy
- Manage account and production team service delivery to the client, including problem-solving and accountability for errors
- Liaise with client contacts to ensure their satisfaction and enhance client relationships
- Travel to meet with clients as necessary
- For integrated clients, coordinate with Offline and Digital teams to develop multi-channel campaigns and wrap-up decks
- Demonstrate working knowledge of each area of agency’s client services
- Mentor managers, coordinators, or assistants; other team members
- Lead as a trusted subject matter expert for the agency in the area of legacy and planned giving
- Enhance company’s brand by attending events, publishing white papers/blog posts, speaking at workshops and networking with influencers in the industry
- Keep up to date on changes in the legacy industry and practices
- Participate in new business proposals and presentations when requested
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly operates a computer and other office equipment and remains in a stationary position, often sitting (or standing if at a standing desk) for prolonged periods; communication is via email, chat, phone, video, and/or in-person with others inside and outside the agency in order to exchange information; repetitive motions may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers in order to operate computer equipment, copy machines, and printers.
