Senior Accounting Analyst
NewBe an early applicantThe Financial Reporting team is part of the Ford Credit Global Business Center (FCGBC), supporting Ford Credit Europe's accounting and reporting operations. The team delivers month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting services across multiple European locations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
As a Senior Accounting Analyst, you will work closely with Finance, Accounting, Business Center, and Financial Planning teams across Europe and India. The role offers exposure to IFRS, U.S. GAAP reporting, statutory reporting, audit support, and financial close activities within a global financial services organization.
Financial Close & Accounting
- Prepare and post daily and month-end journal entries in SAP.
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
- Prepare and review sub-ledger reports and month-end schedules.
- Conduct balance sheet and income statement variance analysis.
- Support intercompany accounting and reconciliation activities.
Financial Reporting
- Support preparation of IFRS and U.S. GAAP financial reporting.
- Assist in consolidated reporting and regulatory filing requirements.
- Prepare annual financial statements and perform roll-forward activities in Workiva.
- Ensure trial balance mappings and financial statement disclosures are accurate.
Statutory Reporting & Audit Support
- Assist with local statutory reporting requirements across European entities.
- Support internal and external audit processes, including walkthroughs and documentation requests.
- Participate in controls testing and compliance activities.
Operational Excellence
- Monitor daily finance activities and ensure timely completion of checklists.
- Maintain and update process documentation and desk procedures.
- Prepare monthly operational metrics and reporting.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
- Support business continuity planning and ad hoc finance projects.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost and Management Accountant (CMA).
- Strong accounting fundamentals and financial reporting knowledge.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working with SAP ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Exposure to U.S. GAAP reporting.
- Experience supporting statutory reporting and audits.
- Familiarity with financial reporting tools such as Workiva.
- Experience in financial services, banking, automotive finance, or shared services environments.
- Flexibility to support critical month-end and reporting deadlines.
