- £28,000 - £30,000 DOE
- 8.30 - 5pm or 9- 5.30pm (37.5 hours a week)
Our client, a highly respected specialist security business, has exclusively retained Reed to recruit a Senior Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator seeking a varied role within a busy, professional environment where exceptional customer service is at the heart of everything they do.
As a key member of the team, you'll act as a central point of contact for customers, engineers, monitoring centres and police authorities, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.
The Role Reporting to the management team, your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone and email.
- Managing shared inboxes and distributing enquiries to the correct departments.
- Coordinating engineer schedules, maintenance visits and customer appointments.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and setting up new accounts.
- Processing alarm monitoring applications, system testing requests and keyholder updates.
- Supporting customers with alarm resets, alarm log requests and general enquiries.
- Preparing and issuing customer documentation, contracts and correspondence.
- Managing URN applications and ensuring records remain accurate and compliant.
- Producing operational reports and maintaining detailed administrative records.
- Processing contract terminations and associated administration.
- Taking customer payments and updating Sage records (training provided if required).
- Supporting wider office administration, including stationery orders and travel bookings.
- Assisting with compliance activities and maintaining accurate documentation.
About You
- To be successful in this role, you'll be an organised and proactive administrator with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail. You will have:
- Previous administration and/or customer service experience.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A professional and confident telephone manner.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- A flexible approach within a busy office environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative.
- An enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
