Senior AI Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Own AI products end-to-end, from architecture and development to launch and iteration.
• Build backend services, data pipelines, and LLM systems for clinical workflows.
• Develop agentic systems, RAG pipelines, model routing, and verification layers.
• Build evaluation frameworks for clinical accuracy, safety, empathy, and reliability.
• Collaborate with doctors, product, design, and engineering teams.
• Implement safety mechanisms for uncertainty, emergency escalation, and human review.
• Improve AI processing of medical histories, symptoms, PDFs, lab reports, and prescriptions.
• Debug production issues across application, data, AI, and infrastructure.
• Establish engineering standards for reliability, privacy, testing, and observability.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of production software engineering experience.
• Strong backend and Python expertise.
• Experience building production LLM, ML, or data-intensive systems.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, distributed systems, testing, and monitoring.
• Experience with RAG, agents, prompt engineering, model routing, and evaluations.
• Strong product thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, high-stakes environments.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong ownership, decision-making, and execution skills.
