Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Software Engineer to contribute to their innovative AI & Emerging Technologies team in Stellenbosch. This role involves the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated AI-powered software solutions. You will work on challenging projects, translating complex algorithms into production-ready code and collaborating with a team of experts dedicated to advancing artificial intelligence. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize AI algorithms and software components for various applications. Integrate machine learning models into existing software systems and new product developments. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to software engineering best practices. Collaborate with data scientists and researchers to implement and deploy AI solutions. Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable AI systems. Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a significant portion focused on AI/ML. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java, and experience with AI libraries. Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, algorithms, and frameworks (e.g., Tensor Flow, Py Torch). Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies is a plus.
