Senior Android Engineer

Summary

Build and maintain Android apps that help users save on prescription drugs, using Kotlin, MVVM, and REST APIs in a collaborative product team.

Join our engineering team on a mission to help people save money on the prescription drugs they need and make healthcare more accessible and affordable — mobile plays a key role in how we deliver on that.

As a Senior Android Engineer, you'll build and maintain mobile applications and features that power key user journeys across our digital products — from design and implementation through testing, release, and ongoing improvement. You'll work closely with product, design, backend, and platform engineering teams, and thrive in a fast-paced, friendly environment where you can turn ideas into polished, production-ready experiences quickly.

What you'll do:

  • Build new features from the ground up in close collaboration with design, product, and other teams
  • Help design clean, reusable, and resilient high-level architecture with the mobile team
  • Fix bugs, monitor app performance, and keep existing code healthy
  • Participate in and lead code reviews
  • Contribute to architecture decisions on how to scale our apps
  • Make smart engineering and product decisions grounded in data and cross-team collaboration

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of native app development experience, with strong command of the Android framework (Intents, Flags, Activities, Fragments, etc.) and OOP design best practices
  • Experience with standard Android tooling (Android Studio)
  • Strong background in Core Java, Kotlin, and OOP concepts
  • Familiarity with native app architecture and design patterns, including MVVM
  • Experience with deep linking, analytics, and A/B testing
  • Solid understanding of core software concepts: networking, security, storage management, multi-threading, and app lifecycle management
  • Strong debugging and performance-tuning skills
  • Experience working with REST APIs
  • Experience integrating third-party SDKs and APIs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex project requirements into a detailed technical implementation plan
