Senior Application Support Engineer
Salary: £28,000 - 35,000 per year
Requirements:- 3+ years experience in Application Support, Software Support, or a similar role
- Strong SQL skills, including writing and troubleshooting complex queries
- Experience investigating and resolving technical issues in a production environment
- Knowledge of Jira or similar ticketing systems
- Experience with Git, Bitbucket, or similar version control tools
- Scripting experience, ideally PowerShell
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- PL/SQL experience is preferred but not essential
- Experience supporting enterprise software applications
- Exposure to Agile environments
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex application issues
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve 2nd/3rd line support incidents
- Carry out root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions
- Work closely with Engineering and Service Delivery teams
- Write and maintain automation scripts
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles
