Senior Automation Test Engineer
Salary: $120.00 - $145.00 phr (incl. super)
- 12 + 12 months, $$$ negotiable
- Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney + Hybrid WFH
- NV1 security clearance required
Our client, a Federal Government Department focused on helping the disability community is seeking an EL1 Senior Automation Test Engineer to join their team November.
Duties:
- Design and implement automation frameworks, ensuring usability, effectiveness, efficiency and maintainability are met. Frameworks must support backend and UI components, with a particular emphasis on Accessibility.
- Set standards for writing test code and automation coding principles to be used across the team.
- Support in-Sprint delivery of automated tests meeting acceptance criteria and enable Definition of Done.
- Write tests and supporting automation code.
Skills & Experience:
- Expert “hands‑on” technical proficiency in the principles and practical application of automation testing, test frameworks, CI/CD, across a variety of tools.
- 7–9 years’ experience in a senior automation test role.
- Deep experience on Automation tools like Playwright.
- Hands‑on experience using AI tools & frameworks including spec‑driven development (Open Spec) & Claude.
- In‑depth experience on CI/CD tools such as GitHub and Azure.
