Senior Aviation Project Delivery Specialist
JOB DESCRIPTION
Michael Baker International is seeking a Part-Time Senior Aviation Project Delivery Specialist located in Texas (Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, or Austin) to provide overall project delivery guidance while managing the construction administration of primarily general aviation airport clients.
The candidate will actively work together with regional aviation leadership to guide the delivery of Texas Airport development projects. The preferred candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively and coordinate with project teams including other disciplines (cost estimators, GIS, designers, architects, and other engineers). The candidate should be familiar with TxDOT Aviation methodology for design and construction of airport projects. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of FAA Design Circulars and Construction Specifications, and a background in airport design or construction. Experience with TxDOT Aviation project delivery is preferred.
Other strengths should include experience in airfield pavement reconstruction and rehabilitation, hangars, and general airport improvement projects. Aviation support capabilities considered a plus include preparation of construction cost estimates, writing reports and developing client presentations; construction engineering services including shop drawing review and responses to contractor questions.
In addition to immediately engaging in the technical activities in our active aviation practice in Texas, the successful candidate will be exposed to building the backlog of the business, involved in marketing our services and capabilities, and involved in the pursuit of new opportunities. The essential duty of this position is to maintain ultimate performance for delivery of project quality and safety.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related engineering field required, or significant applicable experience.
- 7+ years of experience in aviation and aviation project construction management.
- Excellent English language skills, written and verbal, are essential to long term success in this role.
- Aptitude for communicating with owner/client staff, contractors, and subconsultants.
- You will need to be able to quickly get up to speed on our policy, procedures and relevant software while acquiring an understanding of the company’s service offerings, and the client’s standards and procedures relevant to your projects.

COMPENSATION
The approximate compensation range for this position is $57.70 to $85.55 per hour. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
