Senior Backend Developer - Kotlin/Java

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer skilled in Kotlin and Java to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in building and maintaining backend applications, with a strong understanding of Spring Framework, REST API development, and cloud environments. Proficiency with distributed team collaboration and a robust problem -solving ability are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities :

Backend Development :

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Utilize Spring Framework for dependency injection, REST API creation, and other backend functionalities.

API and Framework Expertise :

• Develop and manage RESTful APIs to ensure efficient data exchange and integration.
• Work with frameworks such as Quarkus and Vert.x (a plus) for optimized backend processing.

Problem Solving and Debugging :

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and debug complex backend applications with efficiency.
• Collaborate with the QA team to ensure applications are secure, performant, and reliable.

Cloud and Distributed Team Collaboration :

• Work seamlessly within a distributed team, following best practices for communication and collaboration.
• Utilize AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud services to support the deployment, scaling, and management of backend applications.

Database Management :

• Design and optimize queries for Oracle or SQL relational databases.
• Ensure data consistency, performance, and reliability across database interactions.

Required Skills and Experience :

• 5+ years of backend development experience, with strong expertise in Kotlin and Java.
• Proficiency with Spring Framework and REST API design.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle or SQL.
• Excellent problem -solving skills and debugging experience in complex backend systems.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Familiarity with backend frameworks like Quarkus or Vert.x.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross -functional teams.
