Senior Backend Developer with Umbraco C# .net

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will lead the technical development of an eCommerce site within a Digital team for a travel company, driving improvements and automation. You’ll collaborate with frontend and design to enhance UI/UX and analyse features to optimise performance. You’ll shape continuous delivery pipelines and automate testing to ensure quality. This role combines hands-on coding with cross‑functional collaboration in a remote-friendly, agile environment, offering meaningful impact on customer experiences.

• Lead eCommerce web and application development from a technical perspective
• Collaborate with frontend and design to enhance UI/UX
• Analyse existing features to propose improvements
• Identify automation opportunities in collaboration with the business lead
• Implement automated regression testing for developed software

• Excellent knowledge of ASP.NET, C#, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, React
• MS SQL Server, MongoDB, Elasticsearch experience
• Understanding of SOLID principles
• Experience with Umbraco CMS
• Continuous Delivery tools and techniques (Git, GitHub, TeamCity, Octopus, Jenkins, Selenium)
• Azure cloud services knowledge (deploying/managing resources)
• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
• Experience with REST APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger) and formats like JSON/XML/SOAP
• PowerBI/PowerQuery/R experience
• Structured testing approaches (TDD/BDD)
• Agile/Kanban environment experience
