Senior Backend Engineer

You will work with other designers and cross-functional team members, relying heavily on both qualitative and quantitative data to make informed decisions. You'll integrate user-facing elements built by frontend developers with server-side logic, participate in the overall application lifecycle, and build high-quality reusable code libraries for future implementation. You'll implement security structures and best practices, conceptualize and implement data storage solutions, and maintain server stability with zero downtime. You'll configure backend usability for frontend applications, improve code quality through unit tests, automation and code reviews, and work closely with product and design teams to translate requirements into pragmatic technical solutions. You'll write clean, scalable, efficient code, troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance, and routinely inspect server code for speed optimization. You'll attend regular meetings with the frontend team, stay up to date with best practices, and provide code documentation and other technical inputs.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience
• Proven work experience as a backend developer
• Experienced with software engineering best practices
• In-depth understanding of data structures and other computer science fundamentals
• Fluency or understanding in Golang, Messaging Queues and Database/Operating systems
• Understanding of accessibility and server compliance
• Strong understanding of the web development cycle, programing techniques and tools
