Senior Backend Engineer
Summary
Lead backend architecture for BYD's supply chain digital ecosystem in Indonesia, owning system planning, core rebuilds, and technical leadership for a Java-based team. Day-to-day work centers on large-scale distributed systems using Java, Spring Boot/Cloud, Kafka, ElasticSearch, and Oracle/NoSQL databases.
Build the backbone of BYD's supply chain digital ecosystem — architect high-performance backend systems powering operations across Indonesia and beyond.

Job Responsibilities
Oversee the back-end technical system planning, architecture design and continuous iteration of the supply chain business line, to guarantee the forward-looking design, stability and scalability of the systems.
Take the lead in major business projects and core system reconstruction, and resolve technical challenges including high concurrency, high availability and data consistency.
Formulate and drive the implementation of development specifications, quality standards and performance baselines for the team.
Act as the technical lead, take charge of core talent cultivation and echelon building, and conduct critical technical decision-making and technical reviews.
Gain an in-depth understanding of business, participate in product and business planning, and translate complex business requirements into efficient and implementable technical solutions.
Keep track of industry technical trends and formulate the evolution roadmap of the team's technology stack.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above; majors related to Computer Science such as Software Engineering, Network Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Media Technology and Electronic Information are preferred.
Solid English skills in reading, writing and communication; proficiency in an additional foreign language is a plus.
No less than 5 years of back-end development experience with proven experience in developing large-scale distributed systems.
Solid foundational knowledge of Java, proficient in IO, multithreading, collections and mainstream basic frameworks, in-depth research on underlying principles, and familiar with the internal operating mechanism of JVM.
Skilled in mainstream development frameworks including Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
Experienced with message queues (Kafka), distributed cache, ElasticSearch and other middleware technologies.
Familiar with relational databases (Oracle) and NoSQL databases, capable of designing heterogeneous data systems.
