Role Summary

Crown Cloud AI Limited is looking for a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to develop server-side architecture, APIs, databases, and core business logic across the company’s digital platforms, products, and technology services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building secure, reliable, testable, high-performing, and scalable backend services that support the company’s technology ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop backend services, APIs, platform workflows, and core business logic.
• Design, implement, and maintain relational and non-relational databases.
• Build secure user authentication, permissions, and role-based access controls.
• Develop backend modules supporting marketplace, CRM, training, and administration functions.
• Integrate payment gateways, email services, notifications, and approved third-party platforms.
• Write secure, maintainable, testable, and production-ready code.
• Optimise backend performance, database queries, reliability, and error handling.
• Create unit tests, integration tests, and supporting technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot backend defects, integration failures, and production issues.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, estimation, and technical design discussions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional backend software-development experience.
• Strong proficiency in an appropriate backend technology such as Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, service-based architecture, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or comparable database technologies.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, data privacy, and secure coding practices.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs, communication services, and payment providers.
• Familiarity with cloud deployment, containers, monitoring, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Git and collaborative software-development processes.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Contract Conditions

This is a full-time, one-year fixed-term contract. Continuation may be considered based on performance and business needs.

The successful candidate will be expected to comply with all applicable company, security, confidentiality, data-protection, and delivery requirements throughout the engagement.
