Day-to-day work centers on Python, APIs, databases, and data synchronization with authentication, retry, idempotency, and reconciliation mechanisms.
SENIOR BACKEND ENGINEER – ERP INTEGRATION
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain reliable integrations between enterprise ERP systems and backend services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain reliable backend services and integration components.
- Build and maintain APIs and database-driven backend functionality.
- Implement data processing and synchronization workflows with strong reliability.
- Apply robust authentication, retry, idempotency, and error-handling mechanisms.
- Write tests, debug issues, and maintain production-quality backend code.
- Develop and maintain integrations with enterprise ERP systems and their data sources.
- Analyse ERP schemas, implement data mappings, and validate synchronization through reconciliation to our product.
REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ years of experience in backend engineering, software engineering, or enterprise systems.
- Strong software design, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Strong experience with APIs, databases, and data integration.
- Experience with testing, Git, code review, and modern software development practices.
- Understanding of security, observability, reliability, and maintainable backend engineering.
- Experience with ERP or enterprise-system integration, including data mapping and synchronization.
- Strong understanding of integration reliability concepts such as authentication, retry, idempotency, reconciliation, and error handling.
- Experience in integrating and implementing SAP Business One or SAP Hana
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with ERPs: iDempiere, Oracle ERP or Odoo.
- Experience working with both SQL Server.
- Experience with PostgreSQL.
- Experience with REST APIs and JSON-based integrations.
- Knowledge of accounting, inventory processes, or ERP customizations.
