Senior BackEnd Engineer
Summary
Senior Backend Engineer building and maintaining scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and databases for SATU Dental, Indonesia's fastest-growing dental clinic chain. Day-to-day includes ERP/payment-gateway integrations, Docker-based deployments, CI/CD, and production monitoring, using Golang/Python, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, and Git.
We are looking for a passionate and driven Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing scalable backend services, building system integrations, optimizing databases, and ensuring the reliability of production systems. You will work closely with Product, Operations, and Engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions that support our healthcare business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and RESTful APIs.
Implement business logic based on operational and product requirements.
Design, manage, and optimize database structures and queries.
Perform unit testing and basic integration testing to ensure code quality.
System Integration
Build and maintain integrations with ERP systems and third-party services.
Integrate payment gateways and external platforms.
Ensure data consistency and reliability across interconnected systems.
Utilize Docker for local development and production deployment.
Support CI/CD pipeline implementation and improvements.
Implement logging, monitoring, and observability best practices.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
Monitoring & Reliability
Add metrics, monitoring, and logging for newly developed features.
Investigate bugs, performance bottlenecks, and system incidents.
Contribute to improving system stability, scalability, and performance.
Work closely with Product and Operations teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Participate in code reviews and engineering discussions.
Continuously improve technical skills through feedback and collaboration with senior engineers.
Requirements
Experience
5-10 years of experience as a Backend Engineer.
Experience working with production-grade systems.
Technical Skills (Must Have)
Strong experience with Golang and/or Python.
Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
Solid understanding of REST API development.
Basic understanding of caching technologies such as Redis.
Familiar with Git workflows and version control best practices.
