Responsibilities
- Own backend architecture and implementation for Startale App
- Design, build, and operate scalable production APIs and backend services
- Build and operate high-performance distributed systems
- Build and maintain data pipelines, background workers, asynchronous processing, and event-driven architectures
- Build blockchain integrations and indexing systems
- Design database schemas and optimize complex queries
- Diagnose production incidents, performance bottlenecks, and scaling challenges
- Establish observability, monitoring, and alerting
Requirements
- At least three years of professional experience and advanced English proficiency
- Backend systems experience supporting large user populations and high traffic
- Experience leading technical complexity in large consumer products
- TypeScript and modern backend framework experience such as NestJS, Fastify, or Express
- Strong understanding of API design, service-oriented architecture, and distributed systems
- Deep PostgreSQL experience including schema design, indexing, query optimization, and production operations
- Experience processing large volumes of structured and event-driven data
- Production observability, monitoring, incident response, and scaling experience
- Willingness and curiosity to learn unfamiliar domains; blockchain experience is not required
