Senior Backend For Frontend Engineer (Node.js)

Salary: Rp 6.000.000 – Rp 8.000.000 per month

Job Description

• Develop and maintain web applications using Node.js and Express.

• Implement service routing at the BFF layer based on user or organization-level feature flags.

• Integrate and manage REST APIs, including error handling, timeout, and retry mechanisms.

• Maintain consistent session structures and data contracts during system migration.

• Handle service status, processing indicators, timeout scenarios, and errors from new systems.

• Improve existing application error handling when required to support the migration process.

• Support automated testing, SIT, UAT, and rapid issue resolution during the pilot phase.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in web application development.

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.

• Experience with server-side templating such as EJS and client-side JavaScript.

• Strong experience integrating REST APIs, including error handling, timeout, and retry mechanisms.

• Good understanding of session management and web application security.

• Experience with Backend for Frontend (BFF) architecture and feature flag implementation is highly preferred.

• Experience handling gradual migration of legacy applications without changing the existing user interface is an advantage.

• Experience with Java or test automation is a plus.

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Informatics Engineering, or a related field.
