Senior BIM Modeller/BIM Coordinator
About the Role
Our client,an M&E engineering / construction company, is looking to fill this Senior BIM Modeller/BIM Coordinator position on a permanent basis. This role manages BIM standards, workflows, and coordination across all project disciplines, and takes ownership of the central federated BIM model to ensure version control and data integrity — suited to a candidate with strong hands-on BIM coordination experience in construction, particularly within M&E services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the BIM Manager in implementing BIM/IDDEP requirements, standards, workflows, and processes for the assigned project
- Develop, manage, and maintain federated BIM models, ensuring model integrity and version control across disciplines
- Conduct clash detection using Navisworks Manage, coordinate resolutions, and prepare clash reports and presentations
- Ensure compliance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), project standards, naming conventions, and submission requirements
- Lead and attend BIM/VDC and project coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and engineers
- Prepare, review, and submit BIM models, construction/shop drawings, clash reports, and other deliverables per project schedule
- Guide and mentor BIM Modellers, supporting design and engineering teams in delivering coordinated, buildable designs
- Monitor BIM progress, submission status, and resource/software requirements, flagging potential delays
- Manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) and file exchange systems to ensure data integrity
- Coordinate with consultants and main contractors on design, scheduling, procurement, and buildability
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in BIM, within a construction environment
- Relevant drafting/modelling/BIM team management experience in construction
- Experience and familiarity with M&E services
- Proficiency in BIM and VDC software (Revit, Navisworks, ACC, etc.)
- Experience using ACC/Forma
- Good knowledge of construction detailing
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across multi-disciplinary teams
Work Arrangements
- Location: East
- Working days: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm; Saturday, 8.30am – 12.30pm (5.5-day week)
- Salary Range: $3,500 – $4,800
