Dumbo, Brooklyn · Hybrid (3 days on site) · Full-time · $100K–$140K
Manyone's New York team is looking for a Senior Brand Designer to lead identity and brand-expression work for U.S.-based and global clients. You'll take brands from positioning to living systems - identity, typography, visual language, motion, and guidelines - and make sure they hold up across every touchpoint, digital and physical.
We're a strategy-design hybrid, and our brand designers work at that seam. You'll be in the strategy conversations, not downstream of them; you'll run your own client relationships; and you'll make the work yourself. If you want a brand role where the thinking and the craft are the same job, this is it.
What you'll do
- Lead brand identity projects from discovery and positioning through concept, design system and launch
- Have your own client relationships day to day - lead the conversation, and bring the client along with the work
- Partner with strategists to turn positioning and narrative into distinctive visual expression - and push back when the strategy needs it
- Develop visual identities, typography, color, imagery direction and motion principles
- Build brand guidelines and design systems that teams inside and outside Manyone can actually use
- Partner with digital designers to extend brands into products and experiences
- Plan and facilitate creative workshops with clients and cross-functional teams
- Mentor designers across the team and contribute to our creative culture
What we're looking for
Must have
- 5+ years in brand or visual identity design, with a significant part of that in an agency or consultancy
- A portfolio of launched identity work that shows conceptual depth, typographic craft, and systems thinking of work applied to digital products or/and interfaces
- Comfort working ahead of the brief - framing problems, contributing to positioning, and defending design decisions in business terms
- Experience leading client conversations and presenting to senior stakeholders
- Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
- Excited and experienced utilizing and exploring new (AI) tools
- Experience building and documenting brand guidelines and design systems
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Able to be at our Dumbo studio three days a week
Nice to have
- Motion design and animation
- Experience extending brands into digital products, environments or packaging
- Art direction of photography, illustration or 3D
What we offer
- Salary range of $100K–$140K, depending on experience
- Comprehensive benefits, including health coverage and life insurance
- Hybrid work schedule, two days a week from home
- Generous remote work and vacation policy
- A genuinely international team, with regular collaboration across Denmark, Sweden, and the wider group
How to apply
A portfolio is required. Applications without a link to a portfolio will not be considered. Show us three to five identity projects and tell us what the problem was, what you did, and what happened.
