The selectee will serve as a Senior Business Acquisition Analyst in the Office of Protective Operations, Dignitary Protective Division. Typical work assignments include: Oversee contract management functions such as monitoring and ensuring compliance with all assigned contracts. Activities include, but are not limited to, performance measurement, cost monitoring, and assessing and developing strategies to solve complex contract issues. Reviews and analyzes program and project schedules, technical and managerial reports, financial reports, and other pertinent data to determine the status of contract performance. Collaborates with functional area experts and project managers to coordinate and identify office acquisition requirements. Ensures all requirements are fully integrated and aligned with the agency's mission. Provides guidance to senior-level management and functional and technical experts on contractual matters based on a working knowledge of acquisition regulations and policy. Provides expert guidance and collaborates with stakeholders on integrated budgetary matters to ensure acquisition program milestones are aligned with planned resource availability and support the agency's mission. Facilitates regular meetings and working groups to ensure all acquisition program milestones are synchronized with available resources and agency priorities. This Senior Business Acquisition Analyst position starts at a salary of $143,913, GS-14 Step 1, with potential up to $187,093, GS-14 Step 10.

As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you may be required to serve a 1-year probationary period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. In determining if your employment advances the public interest, we may consider: your performance and conduct; the needs and interests of the agency; whether your continued employment would advance organizational goals of the agency or the Government; and whether your continued employment would advance the efficiency of the Federal service. Upon completion of your probationary period your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
