Job Description: Senior Business Analyst – Data & Reporting

Job Title: Senior Business Analyst
Work Location: Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong expertise in business requirements gathering, report development, data analysis, and user acceptance testing (UAT). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Power BI and Snowflake, along with strong analytical and communication skills. Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to develop effective solutions.
• Develop, enhance, and validate reports using Power BI and other reporting tools.
• Perform data analysis, identify data discrepancies, and conduct root cause analysis.
• Document data flows, business processes, data mappings, and reporting requirements.
• Work with Snowflake to support data analysis, validation, and reporting activities.
• Support data publishing to open data portals and websites.
• Develop and execute UAT plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Coordinate testing activities, track defects, and validate issue resolutions.
• Support user training, implementation, and post-deployment activities.
• Maintain business analysis documentation and ensure the quality of project deliverables.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and provide recommendations.
• Manage multiple project activities independently with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and report development.
• 8+ years of experience working with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and design technical solutions.
• 8+ years of strong analytical, interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• 5+ years of experience with UAT, user training, and implementation activities.
• 2+ years of experience with Power BI and Snowflake.
• Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Experience with oil and gas systems and data.
• Experience with mainframe reporting and data extraction.
• Knowledge of data publishing and open data portals.
• Experience with data quality analysis and reporting processes.
