New

Senior Business Development Manager – Middle Africa

Posted Updated
Discussion

The Connector. The Door-Opener. The Dealmaker.

Location

Based anywhere in Africa except South Africa.
Ideally already plugged into Middle/Central Africa (Angola, Cameroon, DRC, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Chad, CAR and surrounding markets).
Lots of travel. This is a road-warrior role for someone who likes being in the room.

The Opportunity

A leading global technology services firm is expanding its footprint across Middle Africa and needs a heavyweight Business Development Manager to open doors and bring in new clients.

They’re not looking for another IT salesperson.
They’re looking for someone who already sits at the table with CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CTOs, CIOs and other senior decision-makers — and who knows how to turn those relationships into business.

If you can get the meeting and close the deal, this is your role.

What You’ll Actually Do

  • Open new doors across Middle Africa and turn conversations into clients.
  • Use (and grow) your existing network of senior business leaders to create opportunities.
  • Hunt, engage and close new business across all sectors — with a natural lean toward technology and digital transformation work.
  • Be the face of the organisation at the highest levels.
  • Build a strong pipeline and consistently convert it into signed work.
  • Spot partnerships and angles that accelerate growth in the region.

Requirements

Who You Are

  • A proven, high-performing Business Development Manager who knows how to originate and close business.
  • Exceptionally well networked at C-level across one or more markets in Middle/Central Africa.
  • Comfortable walking into a room with a CEO or CIO and holding your own.
  • Commercially sharp, persuasive and results-driven.
  • Happy to work across industries — technology knowledge is a bonus, not a requirement.
  • Based in Africa (outside South Africa) and ready to travel.
  • Fluent English. French and/or Portuguese is a strong advantage.

The Bottom Line

They want the strongest networker and business-bringer they can find.
Someone who can pick up the phone (or walk into the room), get the right people talking, and turn that into revenue.

If that sounds like you, let’s talk.
