Senior Business Systems Analyst
Summary
Analyzes business needs and translates them into technical requirements, collaborates with teams to design solutions, and tests system functionality in an agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead coordination with customers to elicit and translate business needs into detailed functional requirements
- Collaborate with development teams to design and transition requirements into technical solutions
- Test user stories and ensure all acceptance criteria are met, including running queries to validate data
- Work within an agile environment following sprint commitments and release schedules
- Define scope and objectives for moderately complex system-related projects
- Create and maintain critical system data elements, rules, and configurable applications
- Prepare end-user procedures and manuals and provide training for new system functionality
- Mentor and train team members on technology and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a relatable position
- Experience working with business units to define needs and document consequences of change
- Experience collaborating with internal IT teams to design application solutions
- Ability to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile methodology and transforming complex problems into user stories
- Working knowledge of SQL, C#, or JS
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Power Apps, NICE/Amelia, OpenText, Solimar, CMOD, Hyland OnBase, or Microsoft Power BI
- Understanding of moderately complex data structures and database schemas
