Senior/Buyer (Semiconductor, East Region)
Responsibilities:
- Manage commodities related to consumables, MRO, spare parts, and assigned projects.
- Negotiate with suppliers on specifications, quality, pricing, delivery, and terms.
- Review new material/part requests and set up items in ERP material master if needed.
- Evaluate and onboard new suppliers in coordination with stakeholders.
- Plan material requirements to ensure timely procurement and inventory efficiency.
- Monitor and investigate trends or unusual usage patterns.
- Issue and follow up on purchase orders to ensure prompt delivery.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and strategy.
- Coordinate with internal/external parties on quality and supply issues, including line fallouts.
- Handle supplier claims and corrective actions, ensuring timely closure.
- Communicate changes in products, suppliers, services, or specifications with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Minimum degree in Engineering, Supply chain management or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of related work experience.
- Experienced in forecasting demand, scheduling production, and ensuring timely availability of materials.
