Role description\:
As a CAD Configuration Engineer, you will support and evolve our engineering design ecosystem in the mechanical CAD domain.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, IT, and process optimisation—driving the effective deployment, integration, and governance of tools including Teamcenter and Siemens NX.
You will play a key role in enhancing design workflows, ensuring data integrity across the domain, and enabling engineering teams to deliver high-quality, integrated products efficiently.
Core duties\:
- Applying engineering design principles to develop and detail radar mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies using Siemens NX and Teamcenter
- Maintaining expertise in Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and related engineering tools, ensuring compliance with standards, best practices, and effective configuration management
- Collaborating with engineers, designers, and suppliers to support system development, including MCAD–ECAD integration and COTS component selection and validation
- Creating and managing accurate 3D models, drawings, and engineering documentation, ensuring traceability, data integrity, and high attention to detail
- Promoting safe working practices while supporting continuous improvement, standardisation, and efficient reuse of engineering designs and data
Essential skills\:
- You holds a Mechanical or Electro-mechanical qualification to HNC level
- You have experience contributing towards design process improvements, automation and standardisation across MCAD environment
- You can assist in troubleshooting and resolving tooling, modelling and data integration issues
- You contribute to the development of a digitally integrated engineering environment linking NX, Teamcentre and Cadence
