On behalf of our client, we are seeking a seasoned Senior or Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will help develop, scale, and maintain a large-scale, open-source cloud platform.

This project is a perfect match if you have:

  • A passion for programming in Go or Python.

  • Hands-on experience with open-source cloud architecture.

  • Project Details:

  • Position Level: Senior / Lead

  • Rate: * Senior: 130 - 145 PLN / h net B2B

    • Lead: 155 - 170 PLN / h net B2B

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Contract Type: B2B Contract (First Purchase Order for 3 months, followed by predictable extensions for 6 to 12 months)

  • Location: Remote (from Poland)

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain core cloud compute and block storage services (Nova and Cinder components).

  • Design and build robust infrastructure APIs utilizing Golang.

  • Create and optimize automation workflows using Python and/or Go.

  • Operate, administer, and troubleshoot Linux-based cloud infrastructure and networking (Openvswitch/OVN).

  • Actively contribute patches and improvements to upstream open-source cloud projects.

  • Participate in thorough code reviews and foster knowledge-sharing within the engineering team.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Hands-on production experience with OpenStack architecture, particularly Cinder, Nova, and Neutron.

  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or Go.

  • In-depth knowledge of Linux systems administration and cloud infrastructure networking (Openvswitch/OVN).

  • Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes in production environments.

  • Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, build management, and automated release processes.

  • Exceptional root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills for complex infrastructure bottlenecks.

  • Good command of English (written and spoken).

Nice to have:

  • Prior involvement or history of contributions to OpenStack upstream development.

  • Experience using modern AI tools to optimize and accelerate your day-to-day development workflow.

  • Knowledge of German is a plus.
