If you are passionate about innovation and want to push the boundaries of entertainment, join our adventure and help us create the unknown! #### Job Description The Senior Community Developer plays a leading role in developing global community engagement strategies aimed at fostering player loyalty, both within and outside their experiences with our games. They will be responsible for establishing and growing our global communities around Ubisoft games, demonstrating a high level of mastery in communicating with players, improving games and feedback loops, as well as deploying and maintaining best practices. As a key strategic partner, they will prioritize global business growth opportunities by collaborating with stakeholders from various sectors, while leading the global community strategy, developing and implementing comprehensive plans, and working with a decentralized international team dedicated to building relationships and earning the trust of players around the world. The incumbent will also provide their expertise to peers and members of cross-functional teams to foster collaborative planning, develop strong synergies, and meet commitments according to high quality standards. As a leader within the global community team, the incumbent will work closely with key development studios. **WHAT YOU WILL DO** - Develop and implement strategic community plans using various content tactics that support production goals and strengthen the overall marketing strategy. - Coordinate communication, activities, and initiatives with multiple departments globally to ensure consistency and uniformity of messaging. - Leverage community managers, cross-functional teams, and relevant partner resources to create content relevant to our players (e.g., blogs, podcasts, interviews, infographics, etc.). - Act as a spokesperson for the assigned brand(s). Coordinate community-focused events, including, but not limited to: fan studio tours, developer dialogues, and tournaments. - Collaborate with the portfolio social media manager to define and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to content, in order to demonstrate the success and return on investment (ROI) of community programs and content. - Support internal and external milestones, such as betas and launches, to ensure KPIs are met and to advocate for the player experience. - Act as the primary representative of player needs within production and publishing teams to positively influence development and communication positioning, on behalf of our players and our business objectives. - Shape player feedback loops and provide relevant insights to production and publishing teams to influence the gaming experience, foster user retention, and contribute to message positioning and marketing strategies. - Collaborate and coordinate with operational teams for post-launch communication. Define expectations regarding relevant situations, such as update content, status, and deployment. - Manage and produce internal reports on community feedback, activity, and expectations. - Act as a recognized subject matter expert, both for the project and for the wider global community team, and mentor community managers and peers. - Adopt an ROI-focused approach by making thoughtful decisions that promote efficiency while making strategic use of available resources. - Play a leading role in defining best practices to maximize impact and proactively share them with the entire community team. - Identify and leverage synergy opportunities between cross-functional teams. - Lead cross-functional initiatives to support the department’s goals and key results. - International travel may be required. #### Qualifications **WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM** - Extensive experience in managing online communities and leading the development of strategic plans or programs with a proven track record of success. - Extensive experience in the video game industry across multiple platforms, in various genres, and in the context of AAA game launches (mandatory); experience with fantasy or role-playing titles is a major asset. - Experience working on unannounced or early-stage projects, with a proven ability to exercise discretion and adapt strategy to evolving creative directions. - Experience in co-development or third-party project environments, collaborating across studio boundaries to align community efforts with production realities. - In-depth knowledge of community platforms and social media (Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Discord, etc.) is required. - Experience working in a demanding production environment characterized by multiple deadlines, goals, and stakeholders. - Proven experience in building and maintaining long-term relationships with partner studios, external stakeholders, and player communities. - In-depth knowledge of or marked passion for Western role-playing games and fantasy games, as well as a solid understanding of their communities and player expectations. - A strong player-advocacy mindset: ability to collect, synthesize, and defend player feedback to internal and external partners, and translate it into actionable recommendations. - Excellent understanding of the mechanisms for fostering and maintaining the growth of a video game community, as well as developing strategic player engagement plans. - Ability to build long-term trust with players, including on projects that cannot yet be fully disclosed. - Experience working in a demanding production environment involving the management of multiple deadlines, success metrics, and cross-functional stakeholders. - Having launched or actively supported a live-service AAA title and/or an early access game is a major asset. - Proficiency in French.
