Senior Consultant/Technical Analyst
Summary
Leads life-insurance client engagements as a consultant/technical analyst: gathering requirements, running fit-gap and solution design, and developing/supporting applications in Progress 4GL/OpenEdge, including policy administration system (PAS) conversions, data migration, and transformation projects.

Role Overview
Responsible for leading client engagements, analyzing business requirements, designing and implementing solutions, and supporting application development and transformation projects within the life insurance domain.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead requirements gathering, business process analysis, fit-gap assessments, solution design, and implementation.
* Develop, configure, test, and troubleshoot applications using Progress 4GL, OpenEdge, Progress DB, and AppServer.
* Support Policy Administration System (PAS) conversions, life insurance system implementations, data migration, and process transformation.
* Review project scope, estimates, risks, and solution approaches while ensuring quality delivery and client satisfaction.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams, provide functional leadership, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* BE/B.Tech, Engineering, ME/M.Tech, MS, or MBA.
* 47 years of experience in Progress 4GL, OpenEdge 10.x/11.x, Progress DB, AppServer, Roundtable, and XML.
* Relevant life insurance domain experience, including policy administration systems and transformation/implementation projects; 8+ years of relevant experience for lead-level responsibilities.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to learn new tools and technologies and work effectively in a team.
Preferred Skills
* SQL, PL/SQL, database modelling, and query tuning.
* LOMA/FLMI or equivalent insurance domain certifications.
* Experience in solution design, presales, project/program management, or bid management.
