A 6-month contract Senior Cyber Security Analyst role (hybrid, Sydney CBD) supporting a major program in a large banking environment via Clicks IT Recruitment. Day to day: drive vulnerability remediation, coordinate response to critical threats, and improve security metrics and compliance using tools like Tenable, Qualys and Rapid7.
Salary: AUD 1100 - 1200 per day

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to support a major program within a large banking environment.
You'll work closely with cyber security, cloud, infrastructure and identity teams to strengthen controls and improve resilience against emerging threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive vulnerability remediation and exposure management activities.
- Coordinate responses to critical vulnerabilities and emerging cyber threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk-based prioritisation.
- Support threat advisory activities and risk reduction programs.
- Improve security metrics, reporting and compliance capabilities.
- Partner with technology and business stakeholders to improve cyber posture.
- Develop and maintain operational standards and security procedures.
- Extensive experience with vulnerability management tools such as Tenable, Qualys or Rapid7.
- Strong understanding of security hardening and configuration management.
- Experience responding to critical vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
- Knowledge of Essential Eight, ASD ISM, NIST CSF and CIS Benchmarks.
- Ability to assess risk and prioritise remediation efforts.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender and Sentinel.
- CISSP, CISM, CRISC or GIAC certifications.
- Previous banking or highly regulated industry experience.
