Job Description – Senior Data & AI Engineer

Duration: Long term contract

Location: 1 Resource – Dallas, TX | 1 Resource – Redmond, WA (Onsite)

Position Overview

We are looking for two experienced Data & AI Engineers with strong expertise in data engineering, AI/ML, GCP Cloud, and retail. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience designing and implementing data and AI solutions in retail environments, with the ability to work closely with business and technical teams to deliver solutions within a short-term engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop data and AI solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Build and optimize scalable data pipelines, data platforms, and analytics solutions.
• Develop and integrate AI/ML and GenAI solutions into business and retail use cases.
• Work with large-scale retail datasets to identify insights and support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop solutions using cloud- GCP services and modern data engineering technologies.
• Ensure data quality, security, governance, scalability, and performance across data and AI workloads.
• Contribute to architecture, technical design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Understand retail business processes, customer behavior, merchandising, inventory, supply chain, or related retail data domains.

Required Skills

• Strong Data Engineering and AI/ML experience
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong knowledge of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and data modeling
• Experience with AI/ML and/or Generative AI solutions
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Experience with GCP data services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Vertex AI, or similar
• Experience working with large-scale datasets
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and distributed data systems
• Retail domain experience is highly
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications

• Experience with Vertex AI, LLMs, RAG, or GenAI applications
• Experience with modern data platforms and lakehouse architectures
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and privacy
• Experience with retail domains such as merchandising, inventory, supply chain, e-commerce, pricing, customer analytics, or demand forecasting
• Experience working in fast-paced consulting or enterprise environments
