As a Senior Data Anonymisation and Masking Specialist – Cyber Security, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution committed to safeguarding information, financial assets, and brand integrity. In this pivotal role, you will support the delivery and operational strategy of data security services, focusing on data anonymisation, masking, and privacy techniques vital for regulatory compliance and risk management. Your main responsibilities:
- Support the delivery and operating strategy for data sanitisation services, ensuring alignment with team and organizational goals.
- Collaborate closely with ITSOs, Compliance teams, and Control Owners to gather and standardize required data for sanitisation processes.
- Record review outcomes, tracking progress and maintaining transparency for audit purposes.
- Communicate review results and support remediation efforts, providing documentation for internal and external audits.
- Maintain visibility of IT security risk profiles, exposures, and control effectiveness in the 1LOD function.
- Engage with regional and global stakeholders across cyber security, strategy, architecture, and business functions to drive compliance and security initiatives.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to foster team development and trust, celebrating successes along the way.
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum of 3 years of cyber security experience with a focus on data security, privacy, and data anonymisation.
- Hands-on experience with data masking, tokenization, grouping, k-anonymisation, or redaction techniques.
- Working knowledge of anonymisation tools such as Privitar, Delphix, CA TDM, or scripting for masking solutions.
- Experience operating security services in regulated environments with strict deadlines and precise documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision, taking initiative and supporting regulators and auditors effectively.
- Knowledge of Data Classification, Data Privacy Laws (e.g., GDPR), and Data Security techniques.
It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)
- Information Security Certifications such as GIAC, CISSP, CISA, CRISC, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor.
- Experience with Data-at-rest and Data-in-motion compliance projects.
- Regulatory engagement experience and understanding of global compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of business finance and experience managing budgets effectively.
