Altron Digital Business is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build and optimise modern data platforms and solutions for our clients. This consulting and Managed Services role is responsible for developing scalable data pipelines, enabling data-driven decision-making, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, secure and reliable data solutions. The successful candidate will partner closely with business and technical stakeholders while acting as a trusted advisor on data engineering best practices.
Required Tasks
- Design, develop and optimise scalable end-to-end data pipelines.
- Implement data integration, transformation and storage solutions on modern cloud platforms.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security and compliance standards are maintained.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI.
- Provide operational support and continuous improvement across managed services environments.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical leadership initiatives.
- Produce technical documentation, including solution designs and data flow diagrams.
- Participate in solution design and pre-sales engagements where required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in data engineering and data platform development.
- Experience in consulting or Managed Services environments.
- Strong experience delivering data integration, warehousing and analytics solutions.
- Experience designing and implementing cloud-based data architectures.
- Practical experience building, troubleshooting and optimising data pipelines.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and client relationship management skills.
