- Design, build, and optimize scalable, real-time, and batch ETL pipelines using enterprise integration tools.
- Write production-grade, highly performant applications using Java and Python.
- Normalize, cleanse, and validate data from multiple sources while building automation to enforce data quality standards.
- Coordinate data movement and schema evolution across a diverse matrix including Oracle, PostgreSQL, Object-Oriented databases, and NoSQL systems.
- Architect conceptual, logical, and physical data models tailored for transactional and analytical systems, maintaining meticulous schema documentation.
- Facilitate cross-departmental data working groups, collect technical requirements from business stakeholders, and translate needs into robust data schemas.
- Implement data security frameworks, access controls, and data quality monitoring tools.
skills & experiences required.
- Minimum 7 years of programming and data engineering experience within capital markets or FinTech.
- Advanced proficiency in Java and Python for application development and pipeline creation.
- Proven expertise in data modelling frameworks, schema design, and technical writing.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, or Object-Oriented databases.
- Demonstrated proficiency working across public and private cloud environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical business users.
- Fluency in English, alongside proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin, is required.
