Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a contract Senior Data Engineer to join a fantastic brand with a dynamic and inclusive company culture. The contract opportunity will be to end of March to start.

You’ll hit the ground running in a fast-paced enterprise setting - delivering on data engineering goals while mentoring and supporting fellow team members along the way.

Key Requirements:

• Proven background in data engineering within complex enterprise setups.
• Proven track record building and designing data pipeline and data warehouse solutions.
• Speed in adopting existing frameworks, workflows, and delivery methodologies.
• Exceptional communication, cross-team collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.

About you:

• Background in environments with established data governance and high-maturity data modeling.
• Solid grasp of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling frameworks.
• Practical knowledge of Kimball dimensional modeling, Data Vault, or equivalent modern EDW architectures.
• Hands-on capability converting conceptual data models into functional physical schemas and transformation jobs.
• Passion for coaching team members and driving higher standards in documentation, data design, and modeling practices.
• Ideally experience across dbt, AWS (Redshift & Glue), Azure DevOps, SQLDBM, Jira & Confluence

An execution-oriented engineer who brings robust technical skills alongside a deep understanding of governed enterprise data environments. You can immediately pick up sprint tasks while helping elevate the team's internal modeling standards and design discipline.
