We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a well-established organisation within the insurance sector.
The successful candidate must have strong, proven, hands-on Databricks experience. This is an absolute non-negotiable requirement, and candidates with only limited exposure to Databricks will not be considered.
Key Requirements
- Strong, recent and hands-on Databricks experience – essential
- Senior-level Data Engineering experience
- Strong Python / PySpark and SQL
- Extensive ETL/ELT and data pipeline development experience
- Experience building and maintaining scalable data platforms
- Strong cloud data engineering exposure
- Data modelling, transformation and optimisation experience
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting of production data solutions
- Ability to operate effectively within complex enterprise environments
- Insurance experience advantageous
- Must be able to work 2–3 days per week onsite in Parktown
- Rate must fall within the stipulated budget
