The organization is looking for a Senior Data Engineer contractor to shape their data infrastructure, supporting analytics and business intelligence efforts.

Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret data to provide insights for stakeholders.
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines for workflow optimization.
- Enhance ETL processes for data transformation and accessibility.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
- Proficiency in SQL and ETL development.
- Experience with Python and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or BigQuery.
- Strong communication skills in English.
Preferred Experience
- Expertise in scalable data architectures.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of data processing and streaming solutions.

The contractor must operate as an independent business entity. A legal requirement exists for a background check and the ability to travel to Guelph, Ontario, twice weekly. A contract starts in April 2025 for one year.
