Senior Data Engineer
Summary
Design and maintain high-volume ELT pipelines for 3D LiDAR spatial data, building performant warehouse layers and semantic models in Databricks/AWS to power real-time analytics and AI-driven agents.
Outsight’s software solutions track the motion of people and vehicles using 3D LiDAR data. Operators of transportation hubs, sport venues, road infrastructures, and industrial sites rely on our Spatial Intelligence data to improve operations and increase safety and satisfaction.
Context
We are seeking a senior systems thinker to anchor the data lifecycle of Outsight's spatial events. This individual will own the structural flow of high‑volume event data processing from our internal perception stack and third‑party datasets, translating them into well‑modeled, hyper‑performant warehouse layers and clean semantic models.
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and maintain production‑grade ELT pipelines processing streaming spatial data and telemetry.
- Architect and manage schemas within Databricks and AWS environments, prioritizing zero‑data‑loss and ultra‑low latency.
- Build out and optimize the central semantic abstraction layer using Cube.js, ensuring clean data consumption contracts.
- Collaborate with internal team to package reliable data‑pipeline integration blueprints for the Professional Services delivery squads.
Requirements
Agentic Workflow & Productivity Edge: You must possess deep familiarity with structuring semantic layers specifically to be accurately browsed and mapped by LLM‑driven agents. The ideal candidate actively utilizes advanced AI coding frameworks to multi‑thread feature delivery and automate pipeline unit testing, achieving an outsized development cadence.
